K. R. Butt - Author of Unarmoured- PTSD Affects Us All, is a tenacious advocate for military and veteran families in Canada. Her work is born from a personal mission: To expose the systemic failures within Canadian law that she and her children experienced firsthand. After witnessing these recurring gaps, she dedicated herself to documenting these failures so they can no longer be ignored by those in positions of power.
Her debut book serves as a "microphone for the voiceless," specifically highlighting the intersection of financial abuse, military life, and the gaps in Canadian provincial and federal law.
"You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know what the problem is." -K.R. Butt.
By pinpointing these critical issues, she provides a roadmap for policymakers and legal professionals to begin the work of real reform. In breaking her own silence, she aims to empower others to do the same—transforming a broken system into one that actually hears, protects, and supports its citizens.
